Idle words are words that are useless and unproductive. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Matthew 12:36-37 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. If you’re a believer you’re supposed to believe what God says in His word. Only then can we speak His promises over contradictory circumstances. The key to right speaking is making sure that the words of God, God’s promises, are in our heart in abundance. And the devil will put pressure on us to believe that lie and speak doubt and unbelief when the word of God plainly says otherwise. If you are speaking doom and gloom over your life it’s because that is what you believe in your heart. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, Jesus said. And faith in God’s word always works.īut you cannot separate what you say from what you believe. God’s word is always the truth even when circumstances don’t agree with it. If God says He will supply for all of my need I should be saying that even when it looks otherwise. Talking life is talking faith in what God has promised. Talking death is disagreeing with the word of God. God’s word says that He will supply or provide for all of of our needs. When we talk lack and shortage we disagree with the word of God. Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. And we need to put right words in our mouth at all times. So what does this say to us? We need to guard our lips from saying wrong things. In the same way we must change the direction of our words to change the direction of our lives. The captain of a ship must change the direction of the rudder to change the direction of the ship. Our tongue is like the bit in the horse’s mouth and like the rudder that steers the ship. ![]() The second point is that our words determine the direction of our life. A mature person, one who is grown up in Christ, has brought his tongue under control. The first is that if we don’t stumble in what we say we are mature, and we are able to bridle the whole body, which in a picture represents our whole life. There are two points that we can immediately see from these scriptures. James 3:4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. James 3:3 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths that they may obey us and we turn about their whole body. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. James 3:2 For in many things we offend all. James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. God said and it was so, the Book of Genesis tells us. But we also understand that God used His words to create all things. God has communicated with men by way of words since the beginning. Men were given the ability to form words and speak them into the natural world. But there is one striking difference between men and animals. A comparison of men and animals will reveal numerous similarities in anatomy and even in the ability to exhibit emotions. Man was made in the image and likeness of God. One of the most important things we can discuss as Believers is the power of the tongue, or that is the power of our words. ![]() ![]() And tight, dark places bring us to one of our favorite features (noted on other DeWalt drivers we’ve tested, too): lighting. Long deck and cabinet screws drove equally well, as well as self-tapping screws in metal studs. ![]() Nothing we drove during testing fazed the Atomic much. However, the lower speed does work well for starting screws-especially self-tapping fasteners. As far as we could tell during testing, it isn’t, and the specs don’t mention anything about it. Plain 1⁄4-inch hex bits meant for use with a drill/driver may work with an impact driver in a pinch, but will not hold up over time. ![]() ![]() If you split that mortgage payment in half and save $475 during the first 2 weeks of the previous month, and then save another $475 with your second check of that previous month, you’ll have the money all ready and set aside when it comes due on the 1st of the following month.ĭon’t just set your biweekly budgets and forget about them. ![]() If your mortgage payment is due on the 1st of the month and it’s $950, that may wipe out all of your paycheck and have you pinching pennies for the rest of the pay period. That’s why listing out your bills on a calendar is so important: You need to see what bill due dates need to be shifted, if any, and if you have any big bills that you need to split up. To do this, save half of the bill with your first check of the month, and then save the other half with your next check, and then pay the bill when it comes due. Since we are budgeting biweekly, the best method to manage your big bills throughout the month is to split them in half! This helps ease the burden of big bills like car payments, mortgage, etc. In that case, work your budget to save half and pay the rest as it makes sense.ģ. Of course, some bill due dates may not be movable. Moving around bill due dates tends to be a simple task and most, if not all, companies will want to work with you. If this is your first time putting together a biweekly budget, listing your bills will also give you an idea of what due dates you need to shift based off of your biweekly income. You may want to move the dates of when you pay certain bills or call your billers and ask them to change the date of your billing to make it work better for you. ![]() Listing your expenses will give you an idea of how much to budget in your biweekly budgets, which bills will be paid with each check, and what dates you need to have your money ready by. You can also list these bills with their due dates beside them, or use an electronic calendar/planner. Next, you need to write out all your bills and expenses to see how they will line up with your biweekly budget! Print out a monthly calendar similar to the one above and write down what your bills/expenses are, how much they are and when their due dates are. You can also go over last month’s budgeting wins and things that you may need to work on in the future.Ģ. This will ensure that you are prepared for the month ahead, that you go over what bills are coming out and that you are prepared to save for upcoming expenses like holidays, birthdays, or car maintenance. I suggest setting aside 30-60 minutes the night before a new “month” starts to write out both of your biweekly budgets. Even if it’s not an exact number, it’s better than using no data to begin your biweekly budget. ![]() Budgeting based off of your average income amount gives you a starting point so that you’re not just pulling numbers out of thin air. President Kennedy's political and military advisors feared that the Soviet Union had continued secret underground testing and made gains in nuclear technology. Many US diplomats felt that Kennedy had not stood up to the Soviet premier at the summit and left Khrushchev with the impression that he was a weak leader. ![]() He announced his intention to cut off Western access to Berlin and threatened war if the United States or its allies tried to stop him. Khrushchev took a hard line at the summit. President Kennedy met with Soviet Premier Khrushchev in Vienna in June 1961, just five weeks after the humiliating defeat of the US-sponsored invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs. He envisioned the test ban as a first step to nuclear disarmament. Once elected, President Kennedy pledged not to resume testing in the air and promised to pursue all diplomatic efforts for a test ban treaty before resuming underground testing. He believed a ban would prevent other countries from obtaining nuclear weapons, and took a strong stand on the issue in the 1960 presidential campaign. Kennedy had supported a ban on nuclear weapons testing since 1956. As negotiators struggled over differences, the Soviet Union and the United States suspended nuclear tests-a moratorium that lasted from November 1958 to September 1961. The Soviet Union feared that on-site inspections could lead to spying that might expose the Soviets' vastly exaggerated claims of the number of deliverable nuclear weapons. In May 1955, the United Nations Disarmament Commission brought together the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, and the Soviet Union to begin negotiations on ending nuclear weapons testing.Ĭonflict soon arose over inspections to verify underground testing. Leaders and diplomats of several countries sought to address the issue. As scientists and the public gradually became aware of the dangers of radioactive fallout, they began to raise their voices against nuclear testing. In 1959, radioactive deposits were found in wheat and milk in the northern United States. As tensions between East and West settled into a Cold War, scientists in the United States, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union conducted tests and developed more powerful nuclear weapons. The destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by atomic bombs marked the end of World War II and the beginning of the nuclear age. On August 5, 1963, after more than eight years of difficult negotiations, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union signed the Limited Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. ![]() 6/29/2023 0 Comments Soldier remembrance day uk![]() The VFW later adopted the poppy as their official flower and called the poppies they distributed “Buddy Poppies” after the name of the factory in Pittsburgh where disabled veterans had assembled them.
